Shyam
I have a 10MB connection, but as I connect through a router the wireless connection speed is "54mbps" most of the time, and I get pretty good speeds on UTorrent. When I'm downloading at high speeds like 500kb/s I can understand my broadband connection going slow, but even if it's going at about 15kb/s or 30kb/s (just one download) with a upload of about 60kb/s my normal internet browsing speed goes really slow...Does anyone have any solutions to this, as i don't totally understand why it is happening... Thankyou.
Switeck
Your upload bandwidth to the internet may not be 10 megabits/sec...it might not be more than 1/2 megabits/sec (512 kilobits/sec). My guess is the Speed Guide (CTRL+G) settings of xx/512k or xx/640k would probably be closest to your connection. You may also need to reduce gloabal max and per torrent max connections due to being on wireless. Wireless doesn't seem to "juggle" lots of connections as well as wires.
Shyam
Thanks, what would you recommend I lower the global max and per torrent max connections? Would this result in less download speed?
Ultima
Perhaps 100 for global, and 30-50 for per-torrent?
