SSC
Hi all,I just came home from university for the holidays and my wireless home network isnt cooperating with utorrent properly. I have a new laptop since before and am on vista.Originally it wouldnt work at all, but now ive added my ip into the advanced net bind section and it works. Yet no higher than 6kbs. This is the same if i have 1 or 10 downloads on, if 10 then it just spreads it out accumulatively. How can I fix this? I have a connection which should optimise fast speeds, any ideas? Thanks, SSC. Switeck
Did you run Speed Guide (CTRL+G) and choose an upload setting that matches the amount of upload bandwidth you're able to use constantly? (Many ISPs may give you a fast peak upload bandwidth, but won't allow you to sustain that amount for hours on end like µTorrent can do!)Have you resolved the half open limit problems that Vista has with µTorrent?µTorrent's default half open max is 8, while Vista home half open max is only 5...so you have to patch Vista or lower µTorrent's limit to only 1-4.
