bloodynoob
everytime I make a LANparty, it takes up to two hours till everyone has everything (>300MB Patches), so I thought it would maybe a great idea to use a lokal torrent tracker to distribut the files, instead of having SMB shares, so I tryed to simulate a such situation in my private LAN, but the speed was realy poor (about 2MB/s) with on leecher and one seed at 100Mbit connection. So is there a special issue because of using a 100mbit LAN or isit just a problem with my connection?
Lord Alderaan
If everything is setup correctly it should most certainly go above 2MB/s.edit. Actually. Although it hardly seems likely at just 2MB/s it might be caused by non-sequential writing.See: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=241630

cbw
You should test your connection in direct sequential copying (SMB). It should go much faster. I have metropolitan connection that goes up to 6-7 MB/sec (and it can perform better). So, you have to check the max up settings and lan settings.
