micki
Hi there,My webui was working wonderfully till i did 2 things:1. patched tcpip.sys2. enabled protocol encryptionAnd now i cant access webui remotely. IE7 just says that Internet explorer cannot display the webpageWhich of these 2 is likely to have caused this problem? What can i do to remedy it? schnurlos
Nothing of both ...Perhaps try with firefox if it works to see if IE7 makes the problems.
micki
Hi dont think it is a problem with IE7 as it was working fine previously until i made those changes.but thanks anyway schnurlos.
Firon
Do you have a firewall?
micki
If i go to http://127.0.0.1/port/gui locally i CAN acesss the webui. So i disabled the windows firewall. Locally can, remotely cannot access the webui. So i enabled and disabled protocol encryption. And still no go.Could the patching of TCPIP.SYS have affected my router? Cuz i can acess my pcanywhere service but not the webui.
Lord Alderaan
TCPIP.SYS seems extremely unlikely to me.Did you try different browsers yet (Fx2 or Opera) just to rule things out and maybe get different/detailed errors?
micki
Yes tried with firefox. Same thing= no go.Take note that it works if i tried it locally using IE7.
Lord Alderaan
Just making sure and I was serious about hoping for different/detailed errors. I have no idea what your problem could be... only other obvious things... local IP changed maybe or maybe even the public one?
micki
Hmm think it is confirmed that my router freezed up. cuz after rebooting, i can connect again.
