Connection SETTINGS problem

Hello,

I found a problem, don't know whether it is a bug or not.

Anyway, I'm using uTorrent 1.6.1 Build 490 and these are my settings (I'm using dial-up).

-Number of Connections-

Global maximum number of connections: 1

Maximum number of connected peers per torrent: 1

Number of upload slots per torrent: 1

additional upload slots if upload speed < 90%: NO

-Queue Settings-

Maximum number of active torrents: 1

Maximum number of active downloads: 1

-Advanced Preferences-

(all are defaults)

If I start a torrent job, I'm expecting uTorrent to update the tracker then starts connecting to a peer.

But the strange thing is, after uTorrent updates the tracker (which works OK and has enough seeders & peers), it never tries to connect to a peer UNLESS I set the "Maximum number of connected peers per torrent" to 2 or higher.

So the question is, why? Does uTorrent reserve 1 connection for each torrent? If so, what for?

µTorrent probably reserves 1 for peer connection attempts.

But at 1 max...yeah, that's likely a bug.
