discovering local peers & dowload/upload limit

will that discover peers that have local IP's like 10.32.4.37 as my local IP is 10.32.0.33 ? there are also subnets 10.32.0-9.X and I know that many local users use torrent

does such limit for not downloading more than for example 4 times faster than upload exists (when upload limit is set to 10, can't I download faster than 40 etc.)? I discovered such correlation, am I wrong?

Erm...? Are you referring to the new feature in 1.7...? Or are you asking if it's possible?

Yes, 1.7 automatically detects peers that are on your LAN. It still limits the transfer rates to those peers unless you set bt.limit_local_peers to false.

so why bt.limit_local_peers isn't set to false by default?

in second I meant that if I set a upload limit to 10 kB/s my download speed automatically falls down, if i raise that limit download speed goes up, or it's just my feeling

Probably coincidence. The only time µTorrent limits download based on upload is if your upload rate is 5KiB/s or less.

It's off by default because it's not tested that well and it's not an option most people need.
