schnurlos
Try this: in windows search, enable search of hidden files. Then search for a file "settings.dat" - these is the directory to go.

Firon
%AppData% is a variable. Type it into the Run folder, or something.

Firon
Uh, if they actually have different logins, then the settings aren't shared.
Cococokie
somehow it's shared... At first i used utorrent 1.3 and it's shared. so i tried to tweak the settings. but in vain.so i moved to 1.6. but it's still shared.. >_<
Ultima
i did it and instead, a folder is created named %AppData% and is not in C:/Documents and Settings/(My Name)/Application Data/uTorrentYou've got it all wrong. You're not supposed to be the one creating a directory called %AppData%. If you're not using the real %AppData%\uTorrent (which is supposed to be located at C:\Documents and Settings\(My Name)\Application Data\uTorrent\), then yes, the settings will be shared. Cococokie
ya...that's why.. it's weird. when i type "%AppData% in the run start menu. I am redirected to (C:\Documents and Settings\(My Name)\Application Data\uTorrent)but in the utorrent it wont... why?
Ultima
If you want µTorrent to store .torrent files in that directory, then just don't fill anything in for the .torrent storage directory.
Cococokie
I tried not filling the textfield. All the new torrents all appeared in the folder of the utorrent.exe. All in "C:/Program Files/uTorrent/"Im using 1.6.0 version. 1.6.0 doesnt assign a folder for torrents?
