greg
It seems that uTorrent ignores what is entered for the upload rate under scheduling, and only looks at the global bandwidth limiter.
1c3d0g
Perhaps it's by design? :/ After all, isn't the Global Bandwidth limiter the one that overrides all other bandwidth options? :|
greg
Global maximum upload rate must be set to 0 if you wish to limit your uploads via scheduler. If set to anything other than 0, all upload rates are ignored. Is this a bug?
Ultima
Nah, it's not a bug. Global maximum is called that for a reason: it's the limit that's set throughout the program.
1c3d0g
That's what I was thinking, Ultima. I thought I was going crazy over here...
Firon
the scheduler overrides the global upload value, if you set it up properly
Ultima
Since I don't use the scheduler, I'll venture a guess (that might be totally wrong) and say that if you set the global maximum to 0 (as greg mentioned above), you can then override it in the scheduler? Firon
I have a global maximum set to one amount, and my scheduler set to another, the scheduler overrides the global maximum though I don't use it anymore since I have cFosSpeed.I did however, test it right now. Global upload and alternate seeding rate are overridden by the scheduler. I tested both separately, and both combined: the scheduler overrode in all cases. You just have to make sure you specify the right times/days.
Ultima
I find that kind of behavior to be odd (since global maximum should logically be the absolute maximum), but I can see the other way (why one would want to have their schedule download at speeds outside the specified limit). Oh well then ;P
Firon
It's kind of backwards (and weird) to make the scheduler use a higher limit, but it is possible at least. You just have to use "Limit" and write a higher number, though really you should use global maximum as the highest number you want and use the scheduler for lower values or stopping it. jibba
It seems that uTorrent ignores what is entered for the upload rate under scheduling, and only looks at the global bandwidth limiter.Works differently for me. In "Turn Off" schedule, when forced downloading, it uses the limit set in the "Limited Speed" schedule (that is, nothing -- so full speed) as opposed to the global limit I set.
