uTorrent as a service & RSS feeds stop working

I know there are old posts kicking around about running uTorrent as a service and this isn't meant to be digging that up again. But, I'm actually got uTorrent running as a service on a headless server and it starts up a runs just fine. There's only two catches:

1) every time I want to log in and use the interface (say to update RSS searches) I have to remember to stop the service, then use the interface, and then restart the service. This isn't a big deal. But,

2) when uTorrent is running as a service none of the RSS searches work.

The only time new downloads start is if I'm logged into the box & the interface is running.

Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?

The reason for this is that the RSS processes run in the loop that also controls the main window.
