infi Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 i have got my utorrent running on a system with ISA server. I have forwarded all the ports using the required methods and when I run a diagnostic test in utorrent, it says that incoming connections can be accepted on port 49152, however i get the red dot and poor/non-existent upload speeds.Any suggestions?
Switeck Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 You ISP may hate BitTorrent users and partially firewall its traffic. You might also be using ridiculous settings in µTorrent relative your connection's sustainable upload speeds, and by doing so causing firewalled conditions and worse!
infi Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Posted April 17, 2007 I have encrypted the traffic and even with one single torrent running I still get red dot, even though the port checker says it is accepting incoming connections.
Firon Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 ISA server seems to block µTorrent. I've seen other posts on the same thing.
infi Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Posted April 17, 2007 It is a bit hit and miss... I have had a green light on ISA server before, but lately it never works.moreover i have been checking that on the trackers i use i am showing up as connectable, however with even one torrent open only, i get only a red dot. it seems like each peers keeps getting rejected. Is it possible for the port checker and the trackers to be giving false port open readings and for the port to actually be blocked by ISA?
