Hamachi -> UPnP not working

When hamachi is installed UPnP doesn't work, giving these messages:

[01:38:01]  Unable to map UPnP Port.
[01:38:01]  Unable to map NAT-PMP Port.

I'm not 100% sure hamachi is the cause, but I first tried to map the ports with µtorrent, suceeded, then shut µtorrent down, installed hamachi, started µtorrent again, and then UPnP did not work.

You can't use UPnP with Hamachi. It's like a VPN.

Indeed, I have the same problem when hamachi is running.

I'm not trying to use bittorent over the hamachi vpn, but it won't forward the port on my router when hamchi is running.

As Ezra, I'm not trying to use UPnP over the hamachi network, but µtorrent fails to map the port on the local network as long as hamachi is running.

I just solved this problem now after a few weeks of being completely puzzled. The thing is that I think uTorrent only tries to talk to the Hamachi interface for using uPnP, but stops after that and does not try your actual network card's interface. I also noticed this happening in other programs that utilized uPnP.

The solution is to have your Local Area Connection take preference over Hamachi.

Go to Control Panel > Network Connections. Then Advanced Menu > Advanced Settings. Adapters and Bindings Tab. Hamachi is probably the first entry under Connections here, so push it down and have Local Area Connection the highest entry.

Just so I understand it correct, that fix will also make games try to use the normal internet connection instead of the Hamachi connection for LAN-games, right?

I already changed preference and now I'm running beta 1625 but utorrent still can't map the upnp port when the hamachi network is active.

Do you get the standard " Unable to map UPnP Port." message? What does it log when you turn on log errors and verbose logging?

This is what the log said.

Disabled the Hamachi Adapter and chose a new port.

Thanks Ezra - could you enable hamachi and then when you run utorrent quickly right-click the logger view and check the verbose and log error options and then tell me what it says? That would help a lot (sorry in advance if you already did this) .
