LEGGS48 Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 I am a novice at this, I have downloaded the same file a couple of times, but can't seem to move it from the downloaded status to a file folder created on the hard drive. I have read the manual and it does not address in plain language how to move the downloaded torrent or file once it is completed. In what part of the guide do I find it Help!!
Ultima Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 Eh? I would never have guessed that something like this actually needed a guide... All you have to do is stop the torrent and move the files, just as you would with any other application...
dalewj Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 moving a downloading torrent would be useful. once its completed duh, but while its downloading you see your hard drive filling up and want to make the torrent go someplace else. that would be nice (least i cant find how to do it)
LEGGS48 Posted April 21, 2007 Author Report Posted April 21, 2007 I know my post sounds like I'm an idiot (not), once the download is complete, that is where my difficulty begins. What I need is a step by step instruction on how to do the move. The language of this program is like nothing I've encountered. I am a novice at downloading and don't quite understand the drop downs of this program. Just asking for a little help. Anyone out there with some compassion to help a beginner.
Switeck Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Just use Windows Explorer to move the file. You can read the µTorrent migration guide for how to re-point the torrent files at the moved file location.
