JLAF5150
Hi, What is the Make & Model of your MODEM?? Did you put an exception in the Windows Firewall?? What does it say when you test the port with the uTorrent Port Checker??
Switeck
Your modem might also contain a mini-router and/or firewall that needs to be configured or disabled.
megzzz
its a modem/router, the 621 mentioned above.the exception is in windows firewall.it states that there is an error and that the port may not be open when i test it.
Switeck
I blame Norton internet security...it may require totally uninstalling it (and maybe even removing the junk registry and dll files it leaves behind) to make µTorrent work correctly. Norton is just that bad.
wobbly
hi megzzz, if you haven't already got this working make sure you're configuring the port forward through to the right lan ip, if you've had more than one machine on your lan you might have more than one "lan ip" to choose from the drop down shown on http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/OpenNetworks/iConnectAccess621/iConnectAccess6214.jpgg'luck
