bigmog01
Hi All,I'm with a rasty nasty ISP called Tiscali -those of you in the UK will commiserate, I'm sure - and at times due to throttling (which they won't admit, but hey...) I suffer limited speeds. To maximise bandwidth, etc, how should I balance seeds and peers? I've been working on the assumption that I should look for peers as a first priority, so that 5 peers with 20 seeds is better than 2 peers with 90 seeds. But am I right? And is there any peer/seed ratio calculation that I should be doing?
Ultima
There isn't really a good way to figure out which is better, as your download rate is dependent on the collective upload speeds of everyone in the swarm. Since not all connections are made equal, it's all a "luck of the draw" kind of thing.
