ProfessorMight
Hi, could someone please tell me how to check the maximum download speed i can get with my connection?i have no idea how to do this. I did the speed test from the link given in utorrent and i got something like 70kb/s.However, my download speed is pretty poor:about 4-8Kb/s.Please tell me what i can do to achieve a higher download speed as its frustrating to download large files with a good number of peers and seeds at such a low download speed...
Switeck
70 kilobits/sec is only capable of about 8 KiloBYTES/sec transfer max.

Ultima
Then that just means you aren't giving us the correct number in kbit/s. In any case, download rates are rarely exact, so there is some margin of error to the the maximum achievable speeds.
ProfessorMight
Yeah, the download rates keep changing everytime i test...lol. [edit]Well, i found out that i cannot change my ISP as its the "best" in my area...What can i do to at least get a fair download speed?I seem to be going down to 2-3kb/sec now and thats unacceptable. If i call my ISP and tell them to fix this, what should i mention that needs to improve? I dont have any knowledge about these things...will be glad if u guys help me out. Thank-you.
