shishomiru04
okedoke i have a siemans speedstream 4100 modem and i am running windows xp, i have gone to the port forwarding page "http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Siemens/4100/Utorrent.htm" and i tried getting a static ip address-that was confusing as heck, i don't know if i already have a static ip address, but when i tried to make one my computer said i already had one!...so i used my ip address that i normally have which i assume is my static ip address and i get to the part on the port forwarding page that says"Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 10.0.0.138"so i type in my routers ip address and i get absolutely nothing except a server cannot be found error...i am at wits end here, i have no clue what i am doing!..i thought i did, because i used to have 2wire port before with yahoo sbc dsl, and this computer was a secondary computer hooked up to that connection, now i moved and now am paying for my own internet and i know have AT&T yahoo dsl-which is practically the same thing i think..i am so confused:(
