computer shuts down whenever utorrent is active

It's been bugging me for the past few days. If I don't run utorrent, then everything is fine. But I've got some torrents I need to finish downloading, and it's getting pretty annoying when, a few seconds to a few minutes after running utorrent, the computer shuts down completely.

I'm wondering if this is a problem unique to me, or something others have experienced or are experiencing. I tried making a new user account and it worked without shutting down for 12 hours.... then, it does it all over again. When I was using utorrent back in the Philippines, it never did this. Please, can anyone shed some light on this matter?

WindowsXP Pro, SP2
