slayers
That's odd... This sort of error is typically related to DNS problems. Do you have ipfilter enabled? Maybe it's blocking your DNS server. Have you configured uTorrent to work through a proxy server?

man_uva
whats the / flushdns going to do?
Animorc
ipconfig /flushdns: "Purges the DNS Resolver cache."It will clear the DNS entries in the cache so that you will have to resolve all hostnames if you try to access them. man_uva
flushed the dns cache and things still dont work...everyone keeps going on about it being a dns problem but the old version is working..damn 1.2!could it be conflict between the two versions i have on my computer causing the problem?? Animorc
Close µTorrent and rename all the .dat files to .dat.bak in "%appdata%\utorrent" and/or in the folder where utorrent.exe is located. And if it doesn't work, you could try disabling the ipfilter too.
man_uva
alreadt tried disabling the ipfilter..no successwhen i changed the .dat files i got an error message upon opening utorrent..saying the dat files were missing or damged..it then restored them...
