junkaroo
How does Rogers throttle our torrents, even if it's Forced Encryption, on common and uncommon ports such as 5190 (Aol Instant Messenger) or 33333? I've heard moderators say to get another ISP; is there really no hope for tricking them using simple techniques, other than the things that work for SOME people (VPN, etc)? Thanks!junkaroo
Ultima
They detect P2P-like patterns of traffic, and outright throttle any encrypted connections -- yes, that includes VPN connections. In short, Rogers doesn't care about retaining customers.
