ctisgr1
I have a Freesco Router v0.3.2 I have ip fowarding setup to send both tcp and upd port 18090 to the ip address 192.168.x.x (I replaced the last 2 octets with X for this post) of the workstaion that has the utorrent software installed. When I do a test with utorrent it tells me:Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.Checking port 18090 on 24.73.1X.X..(I replaced the last 2 octets with X for this post)Error! Port 18090 does not appear to be open. The 27.73.X.X is the IP address on the Internet side of the Freesco box. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why I can not get through this port. I have stopped and started firewal and rebooted the freesco box. The list under the menu for port forwarding shows that port 18090 for tcp and upd are setup for forwarding to the correct ip address of the workstation. I have checked the workstation ip configuration and the address is correct.I also put the ip address 72.20.34.145 in under allowed connections.Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can get utorrent to work with this router? Thanks for your assistance,Greg
DreadWingKnight
Are there any special requirements for port forwarding with the freesco system such as requiring that the IP address of the machine on the recieving end of the forwards being statically assigned, set to a DHCP reservation or outside of the standard DHCP range? Many routers do have such requirements. ctisgr1
The workstation is set to a static IP address. I do not know if it was a requiremant but I did not want to have an issue down the road so I set it to a static address out of the range the DHCP server issues but wtill within the subnet of the network.
