trajan204
First i would give details of my internet connection...plan is 256kbps. I am from India and my ISP doesnt feature in the banned list. The problem is really weird... When i try to download any torrents utorrent downloads at 15KBps(seen from utorrent) but inactual uses 30KBps of bandwidth(seen from bandwidth monitor)... If i try limiting the download to 20KBps in utorrent... It takes up 20KBps but downloads only at 10KBps... But if i try downloading anything from http website, i am able to download at 30KBps. I tried monitoring the bandwidth taken by utorrent by using multiple bandwidth monitoring softwares... all tell that 30KBps is being used but i get download only at 15KBps... when i stop the download in utorrent, the bandwidth used comes down to 0KBps(meaning that no other software is using the remaining 15KBps)..I have both antivirus, spyware and firewall. Disabling/shutting them doesn't help. I have patched TCPIP. Windows Xp has all the latest patches. Did online virus/spyware scan by kaspersky/trnd micro. No virus or spyware detected.I have done all the setup given in the setup guide page and in the "internet interrupt" thread...current setting is..limited upload to 22KBps...enabled encryption...disabled resolving peer IPs...tried deleting the utorrent setting files thinking they might have corrupted....followed every other input given in the forum....This strange problem has been there only for the past week or so... earlier i used to get constant 30-32KBps download and 20 or so upload speed....I have tried all possible things but not able to figure out the issue... please help... Switeck
Your upload bandwidth probably is LESS than your download...maybe even less than half!So you probably need to reduce your upload settings to prevent your connection being overloaded and unable to reach 90+% of its download max. Switeck
Try running Speed Guide (CTRL+G) again and choose the xx/192k or even the xx/128k setting.
