RosalieRMX
After launching utorrent most other 'netware' goes dead. Websurfing, MSN, and a host of other utilities that depend on the internet will crawl and in the end halt completly. This issue has been acknowledged. It has been stated that the cause of all this are a number of routers, not utorrent. I suppose that's a matter of how one looks at it; it only happens with utorrent.Though there are sollutions for several routers in this forum, I haven't been able to find a solve for Speedtouch (546) Routers. I telnetted to my router but couldn't locate the commands needed to implement the script mentioned in one of the stickies.I'd hate to stop using utorrent. I'd appreciate some help. RosalieRMX
The issue seems to have been resolved by:- disabling IP resolving in the Peers tab and;- patching TCPIP.sys and restarting computer after patching*;* (using Windows XP w/ SP2). Windows Vista users can try this out, but no guarantees are made.(Both remedies taken from the page 'IF YOU HAVE SPEED ISSUES READ HERE FIRST' linked to in reply #2)Thank you.
