NickF
For some reason all of a sudden uTorrent resets my computer when closing from File - Exit. It does not do it all the time, mostly when it has been running for some time.It does it with 1.6.1 and 1.7 Beta Build 1703. There is no error message it just reboots instantly without warning. Please help. Thanks
Firon
Have you tried turning off automatic rebooting in Windows?Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery
NickF
No I've not tried that, but I've just turned it off and we will see what happens. I'd still like to know whats causing it though. Thanks.
Firon
Well, if you're getting a BSOD, having those automatic reboots will let you see the error.
Lord Alderaan
With those errors you could google around. Its pretty much impossible for µtorrent to be the cause of BSODs but it could cause bugs/malfunctions in hardware (memory, network cards or hardisks) and their drivers to surface.Running Memtest86, installing newest network drivers and not using USB network devices are the obvious steps to take. It'll be very hard for us to help you determine what problem is causing your BSODs and tbh it is outside the scope of this forum. There are a couple of threads here with more info but generally google and microsoft are your friends.
