DutchDude
I have encountered a little bugging problem. When visiting a website i download the .torrent file based on it's presentations on the website. The name of a .torrent file seldom matches with the name presented on the website.... so i have to use the 'save-as' option. Then when i open it, i need to tell uT to save it in a folder which matches the name presented on the web-page (so i can keep track of it). So far.... so well..... Now... the torrent gets downloaded and is added on the active torrents list in client, which displays a name completely diffrent to all the above specified..... I guess this is due to the fact that the info supplied in the .torrent file does not match that which is presented on the webpage......I would really like to have the ability to change the name displayed in the active torrents list, so it matches the directory- or file- name, either by hand or automatic. Now this may not seem such a bug deal... but can you look at a GUI and have the torrent name matched with a less liking name on your filesystem ? ColdArmor
So your saying 3453543.torrent is on the website, you save it as jerrys_video.torrent then when you open it in µT it comes up as soemthing like 534jldfmonkhole454.torrent? DutchDude
something like that .....to clarify:i download for eg a torrent which is displayed as 'My private torrent' on the website.... i download a file named 'torrent.torrent' which i save as 'My private torrent.torrent'. It opens in uT.... i say to save the data in a folder named 'My private torrent'. But the torrent is listed on the active torrent list as 'My'.Now imagine a few of those torrents.... and you will loose track of what is part of which torrent, and where is it saved....pffffffff
Firon
why would you lose track of where it's saved?look at Save As: in the General section of the General tab
DutchDude
Now do it the other way around.... imagine a folder on your HD... and find the matching torrent in a list of lets say 40 running torrents... thats my prob ;p
Firon
Use Labels to identify and sort your torrents then?
Ultima
I would have suggested that too, only... what if someone wants to know the actual name and label them?
DutchDude
What would be more handy then renameing the entry in the list.... labels may seem a good idea until you try to sort it... Those torrents that were not assigned a label would not be sorted would they ? Besides that..... it would just be a rough work-around instead of a easy to implement and nice solution by making the first column editable imho........
