Zoplax
I've just recently replaced my Belkin router with this one. I've set up port forwarding according to the info at portforward.com (http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Buffalo/WHR-HP-G54/Utorrent.htm), but uTorrent still reports an exclamation mark in the console with this message:Not connectableA firewall/router is limiting your network traffic. You need to open up a port so that others can connect to you.Is there anything specific to this router that I need to do to enable port forwarding for uTorrent? The router's own "intrusion detection" firewall is disabled, I've even tried enabling uPNP on the router and in uTorrent but this doesn't seem to make a difference. Thanks. DreadWingKnight
Did you set the static IP like the guide told you?Did you check to make sure the static IP was in the same netblock (like 192.168.3.x) but outside of the router's DHCP range? Zoplax
Yes and yes. My computer has the same static IP it had when it was connected to the previous router, and the DHCP range is separate from its address.EDIT: I've replaced the factory firmware with DD-WRT, and now port forwarding appears to be working fine.I don't know whether it was a problem with the router itself or with the firmware, but whatever the case it now works under DD-WRT.
