dialagram
Im using utorrent 1.7 beta. Was working fine but last week i started getting no speeds wat so ever. I'm connected to seeds and peers but just not downloading. I usuall get speeds in the 50 - 100kb/s range. Tracker status is saying either connection closed by peers or offline (timed out), if that helps. The symbol at the bottom is a little yellow triangle, but i used to get fine speeds when it was the same symbol. The amount of seeds and peers connected are only <20, but this is usually enough to get ok speeds. Firewall has utorrent exception and even deleted it and added again. I also lower the amount of half net max open to 4 as someone reccommended it. I am using windows XP SP2, with zone alarm firewall, have tried completely closing firewall but no luck. I am using a belkin wireless router but am conncted to it via a cable. My ISP is tiscali who is known to throttle bittorrent - i think. The speed test results: download - 290kb/s, upload - 148k/s. Any ideas how to get downloading again?

Switeck
Belkin wireless routers require very low connection limits.Internet Interruption or Slow Speeds? FAQ may help:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992
dialagram
Yeah i think maybe the isp because if i leave it running overnight and earlier morning downloading is fine but between say 12 and 11 ish no speed wat so ever. Luckily im moving out soon so time for a new ISP i think! P.S. What do you mean by low connection limits, can't find it in the FAQ.
Switeck
- Disable IP resolving in the Peers tab- Try disabling DHT (Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent)- Try disabling UPnP (Can be found in Preferences > Connection)- Try lowering maximum global number of connections to 200? 100? 50? (Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent)- Lower net.max_halfopen to 4 (Can be found in Preferences > Advanced)
