µtorrent-Guest Posted May 14, 2007 Report Share Posted May 14, 2007 if you are positive that you don't run extra torrents marked with "F", then try µT with enabled encryption.And you might want to try to chooses xx/256k since your UP is a bit lower then what you have choosen yet. raymi_5 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 14, 2007 I'm only downloading one torrent.I changed my connection type to xx/256k and the downloading speed went up to 20 KB/s but then it drops fast and went to the same downloading speed. Switeck Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 Your settings are appropriate for your connection, and probably would give you good speeds IF...you weren't running the known problem-causing Zone Alarm.Or it may be your ISP throttling your connection. Switeck Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 Try uninstalling it.Make sure you have a properly forwarded router and/or Windows XP Firewall activated before doing this though to prevent virus infections!Tell Windows XP Firewall to allow µTorrent full access to/from the internet.
