omh
Sorry about the stupid question in advance.I tried to run the TCPIP.SYS patch last night and whilst it was running I was prompted to insert my XP SP2 disc. I do not have such a disc, only my original XP disc pre SP2. I am running SP2 on my PC and as such the MS site won't allow me to download it again.1. Is there any type of workaround for this? or2. Can I download SP2 elsewhere and stick it on a CD/DVD and will this suffice when I am prompted to insert the XP SP2 disc.Thanking you in advance for your advice.P.S If this patch causes any issues is it reverible? Will winding back to an earlier restore point wipe out these settings?
Ultima
Yes, you can create the disc by slipstreaming SP2 (you'll find plenty of guides online). In any case, when you patch TCPIP.sys, you don't want to insert the SP2 disc, as it'll undo the patch immediately.
Firon
You don't need or want to insert any Windows disc. Hit cancel on the dialog.
