schnurlos
Only if exactly the files inside the torrent, the name of the torrent, the comment ... are identical, then the hash would be too.Otherwise: why do you create a torrent which exists? Because I just tried creating 2 torrents with different comments and hash was exactly the same.Of course, I also tried creating torrent with exactly the same name, comment, size of pieces, trackers, ... it doesn't help>Otherwise: why do you create a torrent which exists?I did it, because files were corrupted. Ultima
http://wiki.theory.org/BitTorrentSpecification#Info_DictionaryOnly the stuff in the info dictionary determine the infohash. Unless you can match everything in the original torrent's info dictionary, then what you're doing tells us absolutely NOTHING -- and matching it might not always be easy if the torrent creator you're using is different from the original torrent creator. If µTorrent's force recheck sees nothing wrong with the downloaded data, then it's not corrupted. In short, you aren't sure that it's not the same. If you want to be sure, use another reliable BitTorrent client (like Azureus) to check the files and see if it finds anything wrong.
zxcv
2Ultima: sorry, you're right. The file is not corrupted.I have same download location of my torrent as Move completed downloads to location (i don't know if it does matter). After downloads completion, one of downloaded files (DVD image) couldn't be opened (invalid image error). I copied it to another location and everything works (i've never had such problems). What's the problem?
