windows update restart caused crash that will not recover....HELP!!!!

hey everybody, hopefully somebody can help me...ive never had any problems with the utorrent software before...i love the program. anywho, i had a windows update overnight last night that shut down my computer and restarted it. however, when i attempted to restart utorrent, it came up with the following error:

"utorrent has crashed, and utorrent will now restart

a crash dump has been saved as C:\programfiles\utorrent\490-utorrent.3e58.dmp.

do you want to submit this dump to the developers?"

if i click yes, it just gives me the same prompt again, if i click no, or even cancel it just gives me an error message, and tries to send a report to microsoft that i have to decline. i tried deleting the main file and reinstalling and then it just tells me that i already have an open application that isnt responding and i need to close it. nothing im trying is working...if anyone knows what the heck happened please help!!!!

You might probably have to start from a clean slate. Try backing up your settings.dat and settings.dat.old files and deleting them, then trying again. If it's the same thing, try backing up the resume.dat and resume.dat.old and deleting them and trying again. Lastly, try the 1.7 betas, which should be at least somewhat more resilient to crashes.
