joshhath
I'm posting this just in case it helps someone else out. I've been working on this for 2 days.I have verizon fios and the actiontech router and followed the instructions on portforwarding. I could never get the green light in utorrent. I was using the wrong IP address in my router config. I went to www.whatsmyipaddress.org to figure out what my static IP was. It started with a 71, and I used it over and over to log into my router.I changed my IP address in the networked computer field of my router's portforwarding section to 192.168.1.2 and blamo, everything started working.I feel kinda dumb, but I guess it was an easy mistake for a newbie. schnurlos
You always have to forward the utorrent port of your PC (192.168.1.2 in your case) in your router (192.168.1.1 in your case) to allow your router the incoming traffic (other peers) to your PC.As to be read in the setup guide http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php which leads you to http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Utor/Utorindex.htm
