utorrent worked for over a year and now... nothing

Hi folks,

I have a weird problem. I've used utorrent for over a year with absolutely no problem at all. I didn't exactly got super speeds but enough to satisfy me (in 10s and 20s kb/s).

And then from last week I have been unable to download anything. All my torrents start with the blue arrow, nothing happens and I then I get the red arrow of doom indicating that the tracker is not working.

This happens with all downloads, including "legitimate" torrents like Open Office.

I have not changed anything regarding my set up. My router has a firewall which is configured the same. When I run the port test under the Preferences -> Speed Guide my port is apparently open and usable. My internet connection is fine.

I'm flummaxed. I've been through the help forums and FAQs. As far as I can see, all the things I need to test are OK.

My set up:

Windows XP

Netgear router

Using a laptop connected wirelessly to router

It's just weird that it used to work, and after changing nothing, now it doesn't. Anyone got any clues?

Really? Thanks for the pointer. I'll do some digging around. Might have to change my ISP if they are the problem.

Yes, like 10 other people on your ISP posted the -same- problem like a day ago. It's no coincidence.
