adcadc
Hi - Firstly I must state that it is a great program. My problem is that I can't get the "open containg folder" command to work.I've tried v1.6.1 and v1.7 beta, but still the same problem. I've read all the previous post's, but nothing in there helps. I assume it is an XP problem and not a client issue.I've moved the folder around . . . enabled and disabled the !ut . . . ran "regsvr32 /i shell32" . . . still no joy. Please don't tell me to reload XP (I don't want to go through the activation drama again). All suggestions will be appreciated.Regards
Ultima
... Exactly what do you define not working to be?
adcadc
My apologies for taking so long to reply. When I right click "open containing folder" nothing happens. I've updated to the latest beta, but still the same thing. Must be XP??
Honeyfrog
uTorrent doesn't immediately create a new file or subdirectory when a torrent is started, and won't until at least more of a piece has been downloaded than Windows will hold in memory cache.Trick: Open a torrent first in BitTornado. (It will generate all the empty directories and 0k files.) Stop BitTornado. Copy the created stuff to your normal uTorrent download location. Now launch the torrent in uTorrent. uTorrent will briefly "check" the empty contents, than sail onward.
Ultima
Not immediately creating the directory wouldn't cause this problem. It would cause µTorrent to say that it can't find the location when you try to open the containing folder. What's more, you could just start the torrent, let µTorrent download a bit, and stop the torrent -- by then, µTorrent would create the folder.@adcadc: I'm not sure what to say about this, as I've never seen this problem. Regarding the "activation drama," though, XP's activation was as easy as clicking continue to activate on that activation dialog. Even calling Microsoft themselves is a 5 minute call... Meh :\
adcadc
Hi Ultima - As a gamer I reload windows quite often. During my last two activations I had to hold for more than an hour, explain why I re-loaded windows 8xtimes during the last 12 months and then fax proof of my windows purchase. I should have started of by saying that I'm from South Africa, where thing happen really "fast". . .BTW - I re-loaded last night and the problem is fixed - now for the activasion!!
