TheDude Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Hi !Generally, I want to seed to 100%.However, in some cases - such as torrents that I upload, OR torrents on a site where my share ratio is too low - I want a torrent to seed until I stop it by hand.Currently, the only way I can do that is to set the torrent's specific setting to an unusually high percentage (like 3000%), but it would be far better to just have a checkbox to uncheck which was "When the torrent has reached the seeding goal, limit the upload rate".Of course, best possible would be an exact copy of the Preferences setting with "When the torrent has reached the seeding goal, limit the upload rate to ____ kbps".
hendrix Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 olmost the same as my post right? http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=2220
Firon Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I'm pretty sure force starting it bypasses seeding priority settings
ColdArmor Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 They do. I had a torrent set to seed to 1000% and it kept on going so I don't think it matters..
TheDude Posted November 15, 2005 Author Report Posted November 15, 2005 That may be true, but it doesn't solve the problem.
ScubaSteve Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 how does that not solve the problem. its exactely the same as ur suggestion of a tick box only u right click the torrent and click force start.
hendrix Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 The same thing in reverse ! hehe, yeah..sorry - nevermind, we called for more seeding options.. and i think there will be (from reading in the forums, even if your problem seems to have been solved)
