Pezz361356 Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 Ok i've tried EVERYTHING listed so far,Below is a list of my current status stuff, but basically the problem is I start up utorrent everything starts fine, then the download speed goes to about 10k/b then after 10seconds or so bombs out and never goes above the 2k/b mark, which is weird as only a week ago it was running fine at about 100-120k/b. Please help its driving me mad....i need heroes!!!Color of the network status light : GreenWhat the port checker from the Speed Guide writes: OK! Port 10481 is open and accepting connections. What the Speed Guide shows your settings to be: 2 m/b connection (which it is), encription enabled.Operating system installed: Vista Home Premium 32bitSecurity software installed: Norton protection centreExact router model(s): Linksys BEFSR41 V3 (Firmware Version: 1.05.00)ISP: QuickanetConnection type: DSL (speedchecker link src="http://www.dslreports.com/im/30954209/4568.png"></a>)
Switeck Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I highly doubt your download and upload are equal (2 megabits/sec)....So what's your UPLOAD bandwidth max?Does your ISP officially throttle/block BitTorrent and/or p2p file-sharing traffic?Do any GOOGLE searches for the unofficial blocking?
Pezz361356 Posted June 1, 2007 Author Report Posted June 1, 2007 Theres a link on my post stating what my speeds were this morning (1450kbps down and 827kbps up). My max up is most likely 1mb as my down is 2mb, I can't seam to find out that the mo, the isp is quickanet (a large scale wireless network over my estate because BT are shit and cant get broadband to the 2000 people and 50 large businesses in my estate)Bittorrent has always worked, they have not blocked as i checked with the manager of the network.
