sac
The download is limited by the protocol, isn´t it? I get around 100kb/s with a 35kb/s upload. Is this normal? If the bittorrent protol would limit the download to 6x upload it should be around 210kb/s
Switeck
No, the BitTorrent Protocol does not limit your download to 6 times your upload. However at very low upload speeds it sabotages torrents really badly, so that's why µTorrent has that rule. The real limiting factor is how fast everyone is uploading....and many of them are still downloading too.And if they're not, they're probably downloading+uploading on OTHER torrents as well.So yeah, it's REALLY hard to download more than 6 times your upload speed...or everyone would be doing it.
