kk994
Hello,I used to have a green light for about a year and now it has just stopped working. I tried to redo the proceedure I went through to get it working in the first place.I set up a Static IP address as instructed. Everything went fine. I set a port number of 51234 in Utorrent.I logged into my router (Zyxel Prestige 600) and went into my NAT settings and I set up post forwarding using the newly created Static IP address (192.168.1.X) and a port number 51234 (same as in utorrent)unfortunately when I ran the port test I got this:Checking port 51234 on 213.202.134.224...Error! Port 51234 does not appear to be open. With these instructions:"Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5)."As far as I know I do not have PeerGuardian2 or Protowall installed. Neither am I using an ipfilter.dat. I also checked my virus software was allowing utorrent through the firewall. I am using F-Secure Anti Virus and it does seem to be allowing utorrent through the firewall. It mentions Utorrent in the firewall settings, there is a green tick beside it and the port number is the same as the one I set in Utorrent and my Nat setting ie. 51234.I also thought I might have a problem with DHT so I followed these instructions:"Shut down uT, Remove dht.dat and dht.dat.old from %appdata%\utorrent and retry step 2." - I did this but still I do not get a green light. The only thing I am unsure of is my prefered DNS server has the same IP as my Default Gateway. Also I could not find an alternative DNS server IP address so I left it blank. Am I missing anything. Is there anything I can try. I have tried different port numbers and different static IP's but to no avail. Please Help - my poor head is wrecked PS. I looked at the ISP blocking list provided but unfortunately Ireland is not there. Is there any way I could check to see if utorrent traffic is now being stopped. ThanksKen
The_Nephilim
Hi, Did you set that Static IP Outside the range of the DHCP server?? Find the Start and End IP of the DHCP in your Routers LAN section. Also try enabling Encryption in uTorrent. by the way did you add any new Modems to your Network recently?? As for the DNS server IP's your Router is acting as a DNS Server Relay which is Fine and Yes you need to leave the 2nd IP Blank as you have!! agentjss
Same here, only I live in the Philippines. Does anyone have a more detailed list on PH ISPs that like to throttle utorrent? I never had a green light and everytime I check ports, it always seems to be closed. (I forward ports and am under a router, static IP)ISP is Smart Bro.I'm getting tired of wracking my brain over this issue. Thanks
