amb9800
I'm in an apartment for the summer, and the setup here is a Linksys WRT54GS (v5.0, firmware v1.50.5) wireless router attached to a cable modem (Comcast).I haven't been able to get uTorrent to connect to the network. I tried manually mapping a port to the computer's address, but it's still not working (speaking of which, isn't there any way to tell it to assign a particular IP to a particular client whenever it connects (instead of having to use a static on the client side)? Isn't that a pretty basic feature?)I know it's general practice with these units to install the DD-WRT/other firmware, but it's not my router, so I can't do that sort of thing. Would upgrading to the latest stock firmware do anything? (I assume not...)Any ideas?
