Kai
hi,is there a way to hide your ip address in µtorrent?i've seen peers in the peer tab that have ip address with just a dot etc so they seem to be able to manipulate it.How do you do that?Any info is appreciated. µtorrent-Guest
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_DNS_lookuphttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name_systemno, it is technicly not possible to hide your IP address like you can hide the sender lines on a letter for example and have an anonymous letter that way. Because you want data in return so you must give the reciever your IP address where he can send the data to.But you can give your machine a name like "." instead of the more typical "somethinggenerated.provider.com" if you are in charge of the handling of those things.
