migrating files somewhat successful

I recently migrated my files to a larger drive and about a third of them give me an error message "can't open .torrent etc...". It doesn't seem to have anything to do with torrents being finished seeding or still downloading. Although the files can still be opened in the new directory manual I can't use Utorrent to open them. Any thoughts? Did force start and force recheck.
