Honeyfrog
I don't know if this is a bug, a feature(!), or just weird happenstance....I finally chucked 1.6.1 (for inability to maintain a decent number of connections) and upgraded to 7.1b 2585. I was pleasantly rewarded with two completely full screens of connected peers....but I noticed something curious: Not one of the 55-60 connected peers was an Azureus user (really odd, since about 30-40% of peers usually are). Instead, uTorrent peers constituted the bulk of the torrent, with BitComet is a healthy 2nd place, and smatterings of other clients (BitSpirit, Burst, Bittorrent 5.0.7).But no Azureus.I've been watching the torrent for a good hour (it has 800 peers, and they're regularly cycling out of the swarm to me, so I figure that over time I'm seeing a good statistical sampling).DHT was enabled in this torrent, and the first tracker announce URL was good.(The only setting out of default is that I have netmax half-open set to 16.) Ultima
Um... No. µTorrent doesn not do peer preferencing outside of what's needed to operate properly on the BitTorrent protocol (tit-for-tat-like behavior).
Honeyfrog
I'm back after away all day, and still not seeing any Azureus peers in this particular torrent. Weird. I did open another torrent, and finally encountered one Azureus user out of a dozen.
Firon
µTorrent doesn't preference or block any client.
namlook44
I have a similar problem.Running uTorrent 1.7 Beta, have a few torrents uploading but uTorrent will not allow Azureus 2.4.0.2 clients to upload any data.
Ultima
Again... http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=256913#p256913If you're seeing that behavior, then it's just your luck of the draw (good or bad).
Honeyfrog
Actually the "non-bug" may mimic existance in a case of all peers being connected solely via DHT/peer-exchange (i.e., a torrent with dead tracker announce URLs), with Azureus and uTorrent using different scemes, IIRC. Ultima
Yeah, that'd just be the "luck of the draw" thing I was referring to.
