tenplus1
uTorrent usually runs fine with me and in the task manager only ever uses up to 20mb memory, which is good, but I've noticed when downloading a torrent with lots of seeds and damn good speed, my memory seems to disappear...uTorrent will literally eat up my available memory and leave me with around 10% until the download either slows down is finishes... Throttle is OFF, my uTorrent cache is set to 32mb (no auto increase)...Any ideas why this is ???2ghz AMD 2400+ System with 768mb memory and XP Pro with Sygate Firewall and Avast! anti-virus running... Firon
Basically, yeah. It's Windows being stupid. You can try 1.7 and turn on diskio.flush_files, might help.
tenplus1
OK,... I tried the diskio.flush_files workaround and this caused uTorrent to crash every 2 hours, so I reset it and now the memory bug is back, although now I can see in Task Manager exactly how much memory it uses (Mem Usage:10036 / VM_Memory:506012)...Help !
