bunicu
I have a Athlonp Xp 2100+, 256 MB ram, Xp sp2 with all the current updates. My antivirus is NOD32 and I have no firewall installed. I have a Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem. I live in Romania an my ISP is RDS(Romania Data Systems.) My problem is that my download speed won't reach more than 50 kB/s (if it reaches 50kB/s is a miracle).Mostly it stays at around 10 kB/s. After I have unchecked "resolve IP's". When "resolve IP's", the speed would drop and stabilize to 0.1 kB/s. I don't have any router instaled. My motorola cable modem is directly linked to my computer. I don't have any other computers connected to my computer. These are the results of speed test on my computer: . Other friends in my town have WEBSTAR Cable Modem. They don't have any download problems. I had before on this same system a Webstar Modem. Unfortunately I can't get it back. Here in Romania they give you your modem and take it back when you finish you contract. I tryed enabling encription, randomizing port each time utorrent starts, disablin UpNp port maping, setting peer.lazy_bitfield to true. I don't know what else to try. (Except kill myself). Any ideas? Switeck
Do you have a router? If so, try NOT forwarding UDP packets. It almost sounds like your ISP throttles when they see lots of connections, so you may need to try µTorrent limited to maybe 30 connections MAX for global and per-torrent. bunicu
I don't have any router installed. A TV cable goes into my Motorola Surboard Modem and from the modem another cable goes into my network card.As far as I know that is what cable link is. I will try setting to 30 connections. bunicu
I don't know what has helped but speed seems to have increased to about 65-70kB/s. I don't know if it is only this torrent or all the other will download at the same speed.Things I have tried:1.Lowering the number of global connections. 2. I have unselected resolve ip's" .3.I have disabled UPnP port maping.4. I have selected "randomize port each time utorrent starts."5. Se peer.lazy_bitfield to true and false. (now it's true)6. Set net.max_half open to 4.7.Set net.outgoing_ip to my ip address.8. I have enabled encription.9. I have disabled DHT.10. Different torrent clients. The colour of my status light in utorrent turns into green after about 1 minute. The port checker tells me that the port is always accepting connections. My operating sistem is Windows Xp SP2 with NOD 32 antivirus and no firewall. My modem is Motorola Surf Board Modem Model Name: SBV5120, Software Version: SBV5120-2.10.1.2-ENG10-SHPC,Boot Version: 8.2,Hardware Version: 1,Firmware Build Time: Mar 2 2005 08:48:40.My ISP is RDS (Romania Data Systems.)My upload and download speed is tested on my first post. I don't think I need to do it again. My computer hardware configuration is: AMD Athlon XP 2100+, 256 MB RAM, 2 HDDs and nVIDIA FX 5200.This is what process explorer says:Process PID CPU Description Company NameSystem Idle Process 0 89.39 Interrupts n/a Hardware Interrupts DPCs n/a Deferred Procedure Calls System 4 smss.exe 552 Windows NT Session Manager Microsoft Corporation csrss.exe 608 1.52 Client Server Runtime Process Microsoft Corporation winlogon.exe 632 Windows NT Logon Application Microsoft Corporation services.exe 676 1.52 Services and Controller app Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 844 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 900 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 964 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 1016 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 1108 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation spoolsv.exe 1288 Spooler SubSystem App Microsoft Corporation MDM.EXE 1508 Machine Debug Manager Microsoft Corporation nod32krn.exe 1532 NOD32 Kernel Service Eset nvsvc32.exe 1564 NVIDIA Driver Helper Service, Version 93.71 NVIDIA Corporation svchost.exe 1632 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation CALMAIN.exe 464 Canon Camera Access Library 8 Canon Inc. alg.exe 248 Application Layer Gateway Service Microsoft Corporation lsass.exe 688 LSA Shell (Export Version) Microsoft Corporation explorer.exe 1156 1.52 Windows Explorer Microsoft Corporation firefox.exe 3348 1.52 Firefox Mozilla Corporation YahooMessenger.exe 2836 Yahoo!
