redone632 Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 I am trying to send a file to another person and I've made the torrent and registered and uploaded it to thepiratebay.org tracker list and everything. But when I run it in uTorrent it shows 0(0) for the seeds when it's under status it says Seeding. My friend can't seem to download it from me.Our ultimate goal is to send a 4gb file, this is just for testing purposes.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Is your client reachable? (try the port tester in the ctrl+g speed guide)
redone632 Posted June 19, 2007 Author Report Posted June 19, 2007 I just tried it and it got an error. But it the port works now after I turned off Windows LiveOne Firewall. However I see no change in the seeds or peers.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 It can take up to an hour for incoming connections to come in on such a low-traffic torrent.Get everyone to stop and restart the torrent, with you restarting first.
redone632 Posted June 19, 2007 Author Report Posted June 19, 2007 Does the person that is downloading it need to have their port open and accessable?
DreadWingKnight Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Ideally, yes, since it will reduce the amount of wait time for connections if the torrents get started in the wrong way
