Veni_Vidi-Vici
i'm having problems getting the network status light to go green. I've turned off Windows firewall and i've forwarded the port on my router through my network settings. there's 118 peers so i don't think it's because of a small torrent. i've tried patching tcpip.sys to see if that was the problem but that didn't work either. i'm out of ideas. i've tried uninstalling but it won't let me. it gives me some sort of error everytime i try to uninstall it with add/remove program. on top of that, i can't even test the port (using CTRL + G). i push the botton and nothing happens. i'm about ready to just reinstall windows because this didn't use to happen. everything use to work and i have no idea when it stopped working.please help.EDIT:here's some info that you may ask for:the color of the status light is redusing windows XP SP2 and AVGISP is AT&Trouter/modem used is 2WIRE 2701 HG-Bif there's anything else you need, let me know
DreadWingKnight
http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php for connection setup. If your status light doesn't go green, chances are you're missing something. (Many routers have specific requirements for IP addresses on computers they forward to).As for the ctrl+g thing, search the forums for "Set Program Access and Defaults"
Veni_Vidi-Vici
i've been through all that and that's how i set it up to begin with, which is why it worked. i looked at everything again and it all seems fine. i don't think i have a static IP which may be causing some problems but that doesn't really explain why it worked in the past for so long using the same ISP.i also searched for "Set Program Access and Defaults" and did what it said to do in the add/remove programs area in Windows and it still does nothing. When i did the search you said, it seems i'm not the only one having this problem and none of the posts have an answer/solution.
