boanerges
i`ve looked in faqs & guides an did`nt see anything on it. but when in the peers tab you can add peers by typing in the port # of who you want to add. i try this with peers that show 100% and are not uploading at the time, in hopes that they will start to upload to me. only once did it work but almost immediately the peer whose port i typed in stopped uploading and just sat there with 100% and did nothing. there is clearly something i don`t understand about this option. i`am sure that this option serves some good other wise why would ludde put it in. could a moderator knowledgeble about adding peers please explain the in`s & out`s, up`s & down`s and all around`s about this peer adding thing and how to use it properly. i would be eternally grateful. many mahalos & viva la seeders
Ultima
All adding a peer does is what it sounds like: it adds a peer to µTorrent's internal peer list for that particular torrent. It'll try to connect as soon as possible to that peer, but that's all it'll do. Whether the peer transfers data is another story altogether; you can't force anyone to transfer data with you. There are no ins or outs of adding peers unless your torrent is nearly dead.
