Seeding a BIG torrent, should I have chose initial seeding?

I am serving a 4 gig torrent, I just noticed how if I go to the torrents properties I can choose "initial seeding" but I didnt see that option when creating the torrent (my first one ever btw..), so I set it to initial seeding and it dropped all my peers, I had to untick the box so that everyone could connect again. Should I set it to initial seeding or should I just continue to leave it this way? I would like more seeders and spreading my upload over ALL the peers seems very slow...

Initial seeding will attempt to share each piece only once. It might upload more slowly than regular seeding, but its real utility comes in the form of saved initial seeding bandwidth. While you can easily spend 150% of the data size's worth of bandwidth using regular seeding to get 1.0 full copy of the data out to the swarm, initial seeding can often take that bandwidth usage down to 105% to get 1.0 full copy out to the swarm.
