newfers Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Hi folks,I feel like an idiot. Perhaps it is because I have been up since 6 this morning that I am unable to figure this out. Normally when I click on a torrent in a site, utorrent automatically opens the torrent and starts downloading. Today, however, I somehow set Vista to download the .torrent file... so when I click on any torrent file, it saves the .torrent file to the desktop and I have to click THAT file to get utorrent to begin downloading.I know there is a simple fix for this. Can someone please help me out here?ThanksDavid
silverfire Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Somewhere in your browser, you enabled an option to autosave whenever you click a link to a .torrent.
newfers Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 Got it - thanks, you are so right... I opened my "options" in Firefox, went to content/file types, and set torrent files to "open with" utorrent instead of "save to disk".Sheesh, I need to get to sleep - on a good day, I would have figured that out on my own. In the meantime, thanks so much, silverfire! Much appreciated!!David
