mmidgers
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this sort of thing so i'll give you my max upload and settings i have at the moment. i've got a 512 Kb/s upload speed, max global setting = 47. Global max number of connections = 250. Max number of connected peers per torrent = 90 and number of upload slots = 4. Does this look ok or can i do anything else to increase my upload speeds? Thanks
Firon
Your upload speed is limited by your ISP. I'm not sure you even know what it is, so stop all your torrents, open the SPeed Guide, and actually click on the run speed test button.
mmidgers
Just ren the test and it came back at 477 Kb/s. should i drop the global max upload rate lower then 47?
Firon
Nah, it's fine. The xx/512k preset will be fine then. There's nothing more you need to tweak as far as that goes.Have you forwarded your ports? If the port tester says it's forwarded, then it probably is. mmidgers
everythings working fine according to utorrent. I'm on a cable modem connection so no router. it might just be what i'm trying upload. lots of seeders and only a few leechers. i might try putting my upload to to 0 as i'm not downloading anything... Firon
Eh, I wouldn't do that, as it'll choke your connection. And yeah, torrents with tons of seeders and few leechers are hard to upload on.
