Dunno.. I've crashes since RC2 only, with dump not being sent to the web.. dunno why it's 2585.. Every time I leave it on for more than 4hs it crashes.. I've sent you all the logs it created.. it crashed again but no log were created. I just packed all logs I had and sent u..

HijackThis is a good suggestion - the reason I'm asking is because in the dumps it seems like there is something else trying to hook into our process which means you may have a software antivirus program or firewall interfering.

At the very least, try uninstalling Avast to see if the problem gets alleviated. If so, try reinstalling Avast -- it could simply be a configuration issue of some sort.

I have the same problem. But I can tell you that uTorrent has crashed and been unusable every build since 1.7.2585. I also use Avast btw. I'll stop it in startup and do a reboot and see what happens with the newest RC2 build.

Ok, Avast seems to have been causing the conflict that was breaking uTorrent.

I'll post some detailed information regarding my experience for the originator of this topic.

First I removed Avast from the startup processes and disabled all of it's services. I rebooted my machine. uTorrent functions properly after the reboot. Next I uninstall Avast, reboot again, install Avast, one more reboot, and the uTorrent crashing problem seems to be solved.

Thanks to all those here who saved me some time of troubleshooting this myself.

And a day or so later....

Ok, that was only a temporary fix. It seems the behavior returns. When trying to delete/remove a torrent or exit the program, it crashes.

October now...

Ok guys....still happening. I can not use any version after the build I mentioned. uTorrent always @!#$ing crashes. No firewalls, no antivirus....FRESH WINDOWS INSTALL.
